Ellen Paris has worked as a business writer, columnist, editor and public /media relations professional for over twenty years. She spent twelve years as a staff writer with Forbes, working in the West Coast Bureau in Los Angeles where she covered real estate, economic development, health care, personal finance, small business, and retailing. In addition she wrote corporate and entrepreneurial profiles, investigative pieces, lifestyle and travel features.

Paris also wrote the "management smarts" column for Entrepreneur for three years and feature articles. Paris has spent six years as personal finance columnist for Palm Springs Life Magazine with her "Wealth" column. Widely read, Paris' wealth column delivers "news you can use" for high net worth individuals on investing, wealth management and preservation, financial markets and real estate. Paris was editor of Palm Desert Magazine, a regional luxury lifestyle publication for three years.     

In addition to her editorial work, Paris has been a public relations consultant for twelve years including; Director of Public Relations for a Los Angeles-based luxury home Furnishings Company. She is Director of Public Relations for Kiner Communications, Riverside County's largest full-service marketing, and advertising and public relations firms.  At Kiner Communications she is responsible for initial and ongoing strategic planning, generating press releases, creating targeted story ideas, establishing media contacts and a broad spectrum of media placements. Accounts she has worked on include; 2010 and 2011 Southwest Arts Festival, 3rd Corner Wine Shop & Bistro, American Red Cross- Riverside Chapter, Copper Mountain College, Kobe Japanese Steakhouse, Links Nursery, Martha's Village & Kitchen, NK Mediation, Out of the Box Gold Store, PENTA Building Group, Pete Carlson's Golf & Tennis and SCORE (America's Counselors to Small Business).

Additional public relation clients include; Enterprise California, a subsidiary of The Enterprise Companies, Chicago's largest residential developer, Loma Linda Medical Center, Careerbags.com, Progressive Learning, USC Marshall School of Business and El Paseo Bank.
Paris also specializes in writing special advertising sections for magazines on economic development, municipalities, luxury real estate communities, individual companies, health care professionals, and specialized building industry companies.
Paris relocated from Los Angeles to Honolulu in 1990 and spent five years as a freelance writer and communications consultant. She was a monthly columnist and contributing editor to Island Business Magazine. Her corporate clients included Kapiolani Medical Center for Women and Children, GTE Hawaiian Tel, Alexander & Baldwin and Campbell Estate. She has freelanced for Forbes, Institutional Investor, United Airlines, the Denver Post, Relax, Asia, Inc., Kiplinger Personal Finance Magazine, Entrepreneur Magazine and the Northern Virginia Association of REALTORS®. 

She moved to Washington DC in 1996 and wrote a monthly column, "Report from Washington," for Island Business, Hawaii's largest business magazine. Additionally, she wrote consumer -oriented real estate cover stories for the Washington Times' real estate section.  She spent three years writing a monthly column, "Management Smarts," and feature stories for Entrepreneur.  Her corporate consulting work in Washington included projects for Charles E. Smith Residential Realty and the NASDAQ Stock Market.

While in Washington, Paris was a member of the National Press Club chairing its Forums Committee. As a member of the press club's prestigious Speakers Committee, Paris organized NPC luncheons (covered by CSPAN) featuring Yahoo co-founder, Jerry Yang and former SEC Chairman, Arthur Levitt. She is a long-time member of the Board of Trustees of the Children's Discovery Museum of the Desert in Rancho Mirage, California.
